The world's first bionic humanoid robot news anchor was officially unveiled, co-developed by Xinhua News Agency and UBTECH. The anchor combines lifelike appearance, natural speech and embodied interaction to present news in a novel format.
The debut reflects the rapid translation of humanoid-robot technology from factory and logistics pilots into public-facing services and media scenarios. As Chinese robotics firms push humanoids toward scaled, cost-controlled deployment, content production and customer-service roles are emerging as early commercialization fronts alongside industrial and warehouse use.
