At the 2026 Mobile Network Conference on November 6, China Mobile chairman Chen Zhongyue said computing construction must compare output, not just input. Having built multiple ten-thousand-card intelligent-computing clusters, the carrier is laying out several ultra-large-scale intelligent-computing clusters and will double its intelligent-computing capacity for two consecutive years, building multiple gigawatt-scale computing parks.
China Mobile will advance network-computing integration, expand 400G OTN capability, fully connect national computing hubs, increase hollow-core fiber use and speed CDN upgrades. It will also upgrade its "computing brain" to pool, schedule and precisely match computing supply and demand, shifting from IDC to AIDC, from CPU to GPU, and from cloud resource pools to Token factories.
