Twenty organizations — including the China Academy of Information and Communications Technology, Huawei, Alibaba, Tencent, Xiaomi and Baidu — jointly released an Agent Development Self-Discipline Convention, pledging to resist practices such as algorithmic exploitation and black-and-gray-industry abuse through agents.
The convention arrives as autonomous and semi-autonomous agents move from chat and search into on-the-fly software creation, enterprise workflows and physical-world tasks. By setting shared behavioral guardrails among the country's leading model and platform providers, the signatories aim to steer the fast-moving agent ecosystem toward trustworthy, compliant deployment.
