A research team at the University of Science and Technology of China released structRFM, an open-source RNA-sequence foundation model that improves RNA structure prediction and function inference through structure guidance. The related paper was published in Nature in the early hours of November 5, with all 21 million structure-data entries open-sourced.
The work is expected to aid AI-driven drug discovery and biological research, adding a notable result to China's 'AI for Science' trajectory where progress is increasingly weighed by top-journal publications and open data rather than benchmarks alone.
