After China and the United States reached a consensus on a 30-billion-US-dollar reciprocal tariff relief arrangement in late September, U.S. buyer willingness recovered and supplemental orders kept flowing into Yiwu through October, CCTV reported.
Merchants in the Christmas-goods section said U.S. clients proactively sent inquiries and confirmed reorders within three to four days of the relief news, with sound-and-spray and musical-function products shipping nearly 100,000 sets. A new 'direct buying' trend — nicknamed the 'China Haul' era — has foreign retailers flying in to pick, pack and ship goods on the spot inside Yiwu's new Global Digital Trade Center, compressing the sourcing cycle from months to weeks thanks to the city's unmatched sample-to-container speed.
