The 2026 China-Africa Economic and Cultural Forum will open on November 7 in Jinhua's Yiwu, marking the first time the provincial-level forum is being held in the world's largest small-commodity hub.
Themed "Prosperous Trade, Cultural Mutual Learning, Partnership for Win-Win, People-to-People Bond," the forum features one main forum, seven parallel sessions and five side events, with more than 400 guests from over 30 countries and regions. It comes as China and Africa mark 70 years of diplomatic relations and the China-Africa People-to-People Exchange Year.
Zhejiang's trade with Africa reached 402.59 billion yuan in the first nine months, up 20.1% year on year. Jinhua's Africa trade hit 161.41 billion yuan, up 35.3%, accounting for 10.3% of the national total, with Africa remaining Jinhua's largest emerging export market. Yiwu International Trade Mart has opened overseas branches in Angola and Tanzania, while African coffee, avocados and other specialties are entering Zhejiang via a zero-tariff fast lane.
During the forum, 21 China-Africa cooperation outcomes will be released, including a digitized mutual-trust verification platform for China-Africa trade and a compliance guide for the comprehensive zero-tariff policy toward Africa. The China-Africa Trade Fair runs November 6-8 in Yiwu.
