As AI applications deepen, they must rest on an autonomous, controllable, secure and trustworthy technology base, the Beijing Youth Daily argued on November 3. Whether a system runs stably, data stays safe, judgments are evidence-based and problems are traceable decides whether AI can deliver scaled value.
Autonomous control secures the initiative in tech development: chips, frameworks, models and applications must coordinate so large models can be trained, run stably and iterate fast. Domestic industry has achieved full-link training and inference on domestic compute, proving China can build a competitive large-model system on its own base.
iFlytek's Smart Medical Assistant now covers more than 800 districts and counties, offering evidence-based auxiliary diagnosis and risk alerts without replacing the doctor's final judgment; in education, AI can grade homework and analyze mistakes while protecting student privacy. Crossing the cost, scenario and ecosystem thresholds will let AI move from a Q-and-A tool to a true work assistant.
