YIWU, Zhejiang - According to data released by the Yiwu Municipal Government and China Small Commodity City Group, Yiwu achieved total import and export value of 836.5 billion yuan in 2025, a year-on-year increase of 25.1%, setting a new historical record. This figure surpasses the total foreign trade volume of 25 Chinese provinces.
China Small Commodity City recorded a transaction volume of 322.35 billion yuan in 2025, maintaining its position as the top professional market in China for consecutive years. The market spans 8 million square meters of operating space with over 80,000 merchant booths, and has established stable trade relationships with more than 230 countries and regions worldwide.
Particularly noteworthy is Yiwu's dominance in the global festival and holiday products market, where it commands over 80% market share. From Christmas decorations to Halloween costumes, Easter eggs to Diwali lights, the world's celebrations are overwhelmingly supplied by Yiwu. The city has evolved from a local commodity market into a critical node in global supply chains, with an estimated 30,000 SMEs forming an industrial ecosystem that competitors find nearly impossible to replicate.
