The Russia-and-Central-Asia session of the 2026 'Jinmao Global' supply-procurement matchmaking was held in Jinhua, Zhejiang - the prefecture-level city that administers Yiwu - on October 12-13, drawing buyers from emerging markets and local manufacturers.
On-site contract signings topped 30 million yuan and intent orders reached about 112 million yuan, covering smart home, hardware manufacturing and medical devices across more than 30 booths showcasing Jinhua's competitive products and solutions.
Demand is being driven by energy-transition needs. A Russian buyer said his country is pushing an energy transition with strong demand for new-energy storage equipment, and he reached a cooperation intent worth about 20 million yuan with a Jinhua energy-storage battery company at the event. An Azerbaijani buyer plans to build a long-term partnership to bring Jinhua-made products into local retail networks and onward to Central Asian markets.
Jinhua's trade with the region has been climbing: in 2025, its imports and exports with Russia reached 32.138 billion yuan, up 38.8%, and with the five Central Asian countries 13.825 billion yuan, up 15.16% - five consecutive years of double-digit growth. The matchmaking's first two sessions drew more than 100 buyers from Africa and over 300 million yuan in intent deals, with Middle East and ASEAN sessions to follow.
