DeepSeek has released 'Creator Mode' (Harness), a feature that lets users describe a need in natural language and have an agent write, install and run a plugin on the spot — billed as 'turning ideas into plugins.' Built on the Cordis 'everything-is-a-plugin' architecture, tools, skills and UI components are all extensible.
In a demo, a single request built, installed and verified a floating Pomodoro-timer plugin in about five and a half minutes; the company listed seven reproducible scenarios including 3D Transformer demos, a pixel-art gallery and a poster workbench.
The release extends DeepSeek's agent capabilities from chat and search toward on-the-fly software creation, lowering the barrier for non-developers to build customized AI tooling and deepening the practical utility of its open ecosystem.
