On November 3, 'Jinwen AI' — China's first large model focused on a province's regional culture — was unveiled at an event in Shanxi. Built under the guidance of the provincial propaganda department, the model is driven by AI and deeply integrates Shanxi's distinctive resources including ancient architecture, Jin-merchant culture, intangible heritage and revolutionary history.
To counter the 'knowledge hallucination' common in general models, it adopts a 'publishing-grade corpus + RAG' approach, with an authoritative vector knowledge base and knowledge graph powering seven cultural agents — knowing Shanxi, reading architecture, understanding Jin merchants, tracing roots, designing cultural products, visiting luminaries and recalling the war. Accuracy of knowledge calls reaches 99% with sub-200ms latency.
A 3D digital human 'Jindou' and AI+AR smart glasses for scenic guidance extend the model to tourism, cultural-creative and study-tour applications, turning traditional culture into a trendy, interactive experience.
