At the 2026 Chery Global Innovation Conference (CGIC 2026), held in Wuhu, Anhui, under the theme "Change," Chery showcased the phased results of 11 core technology clusters spanning AI models, chips, new-energy recharging, intelligent chassis and cross-domain ecosystems, and unveiled its "Yaoguang 2035" strategy road map toward 2035.
Chairman Yin Tongyue said Chery is repositioning from a traditional automaker into an "AI-driven global smart-technology company," describing the firm as a high-tech innovation company "in carmaker's clothing."
At the AI layer, Chery released CheryMind, a vertical foundation model built for physical AI. Drawing on a 700 TB enterprise knowledge base and 200 PB of engineering data, it has been connected to more than 400 internal systems, empowering over 1,500 end-to-end business processes across 200-plus scenarios, with more than 60,000 daily employee uses.
In hardware, Chery displayed its self-developed ZIWEI chip family. The C100 central-computing chip, designed for on-device physical-AI deployment, delivers 2,400 TOPS of NPU compute and supports 100-billion-parameter models, with mass production planned for 2027. The S1500 silicon-carbide chip reaches 99.6% peak efficiency, a 1,500 V rating and a 200°C maximum junction temperature.
Anhui, where Chery is headquartered, ranked first among all Chinese provinces in the first half of 2026 in four metrics: automobile output, NEV output, automobile exports and export value, becoming the first province to surpass 1 million vehicle exports in a half-year.
