Yiwu is reinventing itself from a 'world supermarket' into a digital-trade hub by wrapping small and micro enterprises in a full-chain cross-border service ecosystem, recent media visits to the city found.
The Yiwu Cross-border E-commerce Association, established in 2023, now has more than 360 member companies with combined annual sales exceeding 100 billion yuan. It pools platforms, supply chains, logistics, overseas warehouses, intellectual property and branding resources to lower the barrier for enterprises going global.
On the logistics side, Zhejiang Tengxin International Logistics has deployed 12 domestic consolidation warehouses nationwide and continues to expand its overseas network, with 2026 cargo volume up more than 30% year on year. The model lets entrepreneurs focus on creativity and product quality while platforms handle traffic, supply chains handle sourcing, overseas warehouses handle fulfillment and associations handle compliance — enabling low-asset participation in global competition.
