The 2026 GAIC (Global AI Computing) Conference opened with the theme "Intelligent Start, Chain Co-existence," launching the "Central State-Owned Enterprise AI Scenario Co-Creation Partner Plan" involving five central SOEs — led by Zhongguancun Development Group with China Electronics, China Automotive Technology and Research Center, and others — together with four leading AI institutions including Zhipu.
The conference released the "China AI International Application and Governance Cooperation White Paper," showcasing typical practices of China's AI cooperation with countries worldwide, and simultaneously unveiled two major results: the "Domestic Heterogeneous Inference High-Quality AI Token Factory Solution" and the "Physical AI Operation Adaptation Benchmark (ReAct-Manip)."
Tsinghua University Professor Zheng Weimin delivered a keynote directly addressing the core pain points of domestic compute — "having cards but hard to use" and "siloed adaptation" — proposing a unified software stack enabling "one set of code, no modification" cross-platform operation. Seven parallel sub-forums covered intelligent computing systems, space computing, AI+healthcare, world models and physical AI, AI in sports, and youth scientist tracks.
