Moonshot AI plans to open the full model weights of Kimi K3.1 Pro before November 4, supporting a million-token context and adapting to programming, 3D creation and complex agent tasks, a November 2 market briefing said. Some cybersecurity training data will be removed from the release.
The open-weight rollout follows the earlier release of Kimi K3.1 Pro and positions Moonshot among Chinese labs leaning into transparent, downloadable models that developers can self-host and fine-tune for demanding workloads.
The briefing also noted broader weekly momentum: the Wuzhen summit's AI open-source focus, Apple's Qwen integration, and a cluster of chip, compute, optical-module and quantum-technology earnings disclosures, pointing to rapid, parallel advances across China's AI stack.
