Amid deepening BRICS cooperation, Yiwu reported that its import-export volume with BRICS countries reached 106.38 billion yuan in the first seven months of 2026, up 15.7% year-on-year, according to Yiwu Customs.
Exhibition platforms are key bridges linking Yiwu suppliers with BRICS buyers. At the 2026 Indonesia ASEAN Stationery & Gifts Expo, 46 Yiwu enterprises showcased over 20,000 products and secured about 110 million yuan in intended orders. One creative company's plush companion pen, debuting at the expo in late August, drew overseas buyers immediately and is set to ship to Indonesia around September 20.
A local会展 service firm reported organizing more than 600 BRICS procurement buyers to Yiwu in the first eight months, generating over 280 million yuan in intended deals across hardware tools, daily goods and beauty products.
Brazil has become a key destination for Yiwu brands going global, buoyed by favorable China-Brazil visa policies. To the north, the China-Europe freight train (Yiwu–Moscow) runs on a regular schedule, and by September 14 the twin-hub interconnection train had shipped over 2,400 TEUs, with Yiwu–Russia services up 42.3% year-on-year in trips during January–August.
