On September 15 at the Yiwu (Suxi) International Hub Port, rail-sea trains were loaded and unloaded in orderly fashion — the single-day handling volume recently broke 8 pairs for the first time — while at the East China International Intermodal Port, container dispatch remained busy.

As the two core carriers of Ningbo-Zhoushan Port's "Sixth Port Area," the Yiwu (Suxi) hub and the East China Intermodal Port are working in tandem. From January to August, Jinhua's rail-sea intermodal container volume reached 413,000 TEUs, up 44.7% year-on-year.

By advancing Ningbo-Zhoushan's port functions inland, Jinhua lets goods entering the hub be treated as having arrived at the seaport. A customs-rail-yard-shipping-line data link enables "one declaration" for full-process clearance, cutting clearance time by 50% and per-container logistics cost by 20%.

The Suxi hub, China's first mixed-mode "rail-yard autonomous-driving pilot zone," uses 5G and BeiDou for centimeter-level positioning, compressing single-train handling from over five hours at launch to under two hours — a more than 60% efficiency gain — and supports 24-hour seamless clearance.
