On September 15, Zhejiang maritime authorities fully launched an upgraded on-site service at Yiwu's "dry port" (the Sixth Port Area), reported The Paper. Though not by the sea, Yiwu now enjoys coastal-port convenience as the two-year-old service gets a systematic upgrade covering supervision model, service mechanism, coordination and digital empowerment, aiming at "factory-to-sea" delivery of inland dangerous goods.

The upgrade pairs "same-box same-inspection" with "tolerance report": maritime checks move to the factory packing site, completing verification without changing or opening boxes, while creditworthy firms can move first and supplement documents later. A "one-enterprise-one-file / one-policy / one-coordination" mechanism gives key firms dedicated support, targeting 100% coverage of provincial key enterprises and over 50% of other coastal-city firms in 2026.

Building on services for EVs, lithium batteries and PV modules, the authority is studying tailored solutions for Yiwu's high-volume cosmetics and nail-polish exports and tracking new goods like nickel-hydrogen storage batteries. With sister maritime bureaus in Chongqing, Nanjing, Xiamen and Ningde it promotes "one-document, one-box" mutual recognition, cutting repeated unpacking and transit storage.
