According to Yiwu Customs cited by Tencent News on September 15, in the first seven months of 2026 Yiwu's imports and exports with BRICS nations reached 106.38 billion yuan, up 15.7% year on year—a vivid sign of the city's foreign-trade resilience amid the deepening BRICS cooperation mechanism.
At the Suyi Town Minghong creative park, Yiwu Keqi Culture's plush companion pens (worth over 600,000 yuan) were packed for shipment to Indonesia around September 20. The product debuted at the 2026 Indonesia ASEAN Stationery & Gifts Expo in late August; despite a unit price about ten times ordinary stationery, Indonesian market acceptance proved strong. At that expo, 46 Yiwu firms showed over 20,000 stationery items and secured about 110 million yuan in intent orders.
Yiwu Boyu Exhibition Services reaches over 60,000 foreign buyers; in the first eight months it organized more than 600 BRICS buyers to Yiwu, generating over 280 million yuan in intent deals across hardware, daily goods and beauty care. To the south, Brazil has become a key branding destination—boosted by China–Brazil visa easing—while the Zhejiang–Europe freight train (Yiwu–Moscow) runs routinely and a new Yiwu–Byelorussky double-hub line cuts transit by about 25% to roughly 14 days.
