On September 16, China Youth Daily reported that the Ministry of Commerce, together with MIIT and the State Administration for Market Regulation, has released the "Guidance on Overseas Competition Conduct and Compliance for the Auto Industry"—the first such work guideline aimed specifically at auto-sector overseas compliance.

The guidance is designed to play an exemplary role in steering the industry's global expansion. It strengthens top-level design and policy guidance for auto internationalization, encourages active participation in setting international rules, deepens regional cooperation, and promotes an "international capability upgrade project" to improve firms' global operating ability and brand image.

It also calls for a sound overseas comprehensive service system, stronger compliance building for going abroad, and better protection of companies' overseas interests. As NEV exports cross 40% of total vehicle exports and global trade frictions rise, the document gives makers a clearer compliance framework for sustainable overseas growth.
