An September 15 EBRun report highlighted Yiwu's electronics cluster—centered on the third floor of Zone 2 of the International Trade City—which after more than 30 years gathers over 800 operators and is a key national sales window for the electronics sector. Yiwu electronics are highly export-oriented, with foreign trade at 90%, mainly to South America, the Middle East, Africa and Southeast Asia.
The market offers full-category, one-stop sourcing: keyboards, mice, power banks, cables, chargers, earphones, phone holders and all kinds of computer and phone accessories, with goods sourced from Shenzhen, Dongguan, Guangzhou and Shantou. Multi-category mixed batching—cables with earphones, watches and mice—is common.
Facing homogenization and price competition, Yiwu 3C merchants are shifting from pure sourcing and price fights to product development and quality stability, moving from "following styles" to "creating styles" via appearance tweaks, structural optimization and private-mold development. The EU's common charger rule (extended to laptops in April 2026) and battery regulation raise the bar for entering Europe, pushing merchants toward certification-ready, higher-quality products.
