The three-day 16th Smart City and Intelligent Economy Expo closed on September 13 at the Ningbo International Convention and Exhibition Center, the Ningbo Municipal Commerce Bureau said on September 14.
Themed 'AI Smart Transformation, Gathering Wisdom for the Future,' the expo spanned more than 30,000 square meters across five pavilions, bringing together 389 organizations from 19 Chinese cities and eight foreign countries including the United States and France. It showcased 2,287 frontier technologies, innovative products, industry solutions and practice cases, with 52 new products and technologies making their debut.
More than 65,000 people visited in person, including 92 professional buyer delegations; the event facilitated 216 supply-demand matchmaking intentions worth about 475 million yuan, while nearly 200 smart consumer products generated about 13 million yuan in sales. Total online dissemination reached 750 million views across more than 500 domestic and overseas media.
Highlights included Huawei's AI inference server powered by the 950DT processor, Alibaba Cloud's full-stack 'chip-cloud-model-inference-application' architecture, iFlytek, Tongyi Qianwen AI glasses and exoskeleton robots. Zhejiang University's CCAI Ningbo center released the world's first trusted multi-agent reasoning framework. An 'embodied intelligence' zone gathered nearly 10 leading firms demonstrating 30-plus humanoid and quadruped robots in commercial and public-service scenarios.
The expo presented more than 1,000 application scenarios spanning manufacturing, port logistics, water conservancy, healthcare, education and city governance. Yonyou demonstrated AI+finance cutting smart-collection efficiency from 80 to 10,000 letters per day, while AI+manufacturing lifted capacity utilization by 5%–8%.
