According to Xinhua, the Cyberspace Administration of China, the Ministry of Agriculture and Rural Affairs, and the Ministry of Industry and Information Technology recently issued the "High-Quality Digital Village Development Action Plan (2026-2030)," proposing to expand rural digital consumption. The plan specifically supports new energy vehicles and green smart home appliances going to rural markets, encouraging enterprises to develop intelligent software and hardware products suited to rural living needs. It also calls for continuing "digital consumption for rural revitalization" county tours and improving county-level digital consumption rights protection mechanisms. Analysts said the policy opens incremental space in lower-tier markets and benefits the NEV, home appliance manufacturing, and county-level commerce sectors.
