As the traditional peak auto sales season of "Golden September, Silver October" arrives, China's auto market is showing clear structural divergence between fuel and electric vehicles. According to a September 13 report by Beijing Business Today, fuel vehicle makers are expanding discounts to clear backlogged inventory through pulse-style promotions, while the NEV market maintains stable terminal discounts and shifts its peak-season focus to dense new product launches. Industry insiders noted that the concentrated promotions are "pulse-window sprints" to boost volume and clear inventory rather than the start of a price war, and the industry's price system remains relatively stable. In September alone, more than 10 all-new or redesigned NEV models are hitting the market, including the new Li Auto MEGA, the upcoming Li Auto i9, the Xiaomi Pengcheng, and the XPeng G9L.
