On September 12, the PEC 2026 AI Innovators Conference and the third Prompt Engineering Summit opened in Beijing under the theme "Win Tokens, Win the World," gathering experts, enterprises and practitioners to discuss large-model industrialization, the Token economy and local AI deployment.
The conference released two industry reports—the "2026 Global Token Industry Panorama" and the "2026 Global AI Outlook"—and launched the FDE Acceleration Plan and a capability-map survey to map the industry's status.
Wei Kai of the China Academy of Information and Communications Technology noted that in the first half of 2026 a frontier model was released roughly every two to three days, far outpacing the speed at which technology diffuses into industries; enterprises must deepen data governance and build AI-native organizations.
As inference services evolve, market demand is shifting from buying computing hardware to purchasing AI business outcomes, with "Token factories" and the Token economy moving to the industry foreground as foundational capacity for agents and applications.
