According to industry reports on September 10, 2026, Yiwu International Trade City offers 2.1 million product varieties exported to 233 countries and regions, solidifying its position as the "World's Supermarket."
The city's core competitiveness lies in its one-hour industrial supporting circle, where molds, fabrics, hardware, printing and packaging suppliers are all clustered nearby. This enables merchants to produce samples on the same day a design is received and ship in batches within days.
This capability, known as "Yiwu Speed," matches the global trend toward small-batch, multi-SKU and fast-replenishment procurement. Overseas buyers increasingly prefer splitting large orders into smaller, more frequent shipments to reduce inventory risk.
Yiwu's market procurement trade model further lowers barriers by allowing different products to be consolidated in one container with simplified customs procedures.
