In the first half of 2026, Yiwu's total import and export volume reached 486.42 billion RMB, up 19.9% year on year, demonstrating continued resilience amid global trade challenges.
The city's core competitiveness comes from its flexible supply chain that can deliver samples in as fast as two days for small-batch orders, and the market procurement trade model that simplifies customs procedures for multi-product, small-quantity exports.
Over 80% of Yiwu's exports use the market procurement trade model, which allows individual merchants to engage in foreign trade with simplified customs declarations and flexible foreign exchange settlement.
Combined with the Yiwu-Europe freight train, Ningbo-Zhoushan port functions and cross-border express channels, Yiwu has built a diversified logistics network that reduces dependence on any single market or transport mode.
