Hangzhou, September 4, 2026 — Alibaba's Qwen Office product, launched for public beta on August 3, said on September 4 that it had crossed 30 million users in its first month, with enterprise customers making up more than half of the total.
Qwen Office was built by upgrading and merging three of Alibaba's earlier agent products — QoderWork, Wukong and MuleRun — into a unified productivity offering. It integrates Qwen3.8 and other large models, including DeepSeek V4 Pro and GLM-5.3, and is available on HarmonyOS PCs and WeChat Work.
On September 7, the platform added the industry's first "multi-person workspace," targeting activity organization, school-family collaboration and enterprise project teams. Alibaba reorganized Qwen Office into a new "AI Lab and Applications" division.
While the 30-million user figure is impressive, analysts noted that much of it came from cross-promotion within Alibaba's existing ecosystem. The bigger test will be enterprise willingness to pay and long-term retention.
