In early September 2026, Yiwu International Trade City's stationery zone saw a dense flow of overseas buyers from Southeast Asia, the Middle East, Latin America and Eastern Europe,集中 ordering back-to-school bestsellers such as folders, erasable mats, modular pencil cases and anime IP-licensed stationery.
According to the Yiwu Market Development Group, stationery export orders rose 63% month on month from late August, with creative functional stationery and licensed IP products accounting for more than 40% of the category and becoming the core growth engine. One A4 folder blending national-style illustration with magnetic storage drew 500,000 sets of intent orders from Indonesian and Mexican clients in a single day, while a fluorescent study set based on a hit animation was booked by a Saudi buyer for three quarters of capacity.
Environmentally friendly recycled-material stationery more than doubled year on year, reflecting a global green shift in campus consumption. Yiwu has added 17 smart flexible stationery lines since spring 2026, compressing delivery to 72 hours, and its stationery exports have grown double digits for 11 straight months, keeping it China's largest stationery export cluster.
