At a third-quarter economic briefing, experts said artificial intelligence is becoming a new driver of Chinese exports. Relying on complete supply-chain advantages, China is rapidly rolling out AI hardware and software tailored to different scenarios, precisely matching overseas demand and feeding a new wave of shipments.
Customs data show that in the first three quarters, imports and exports of industrial robots, electronic components, computer parts and electrical equipment together exceeded 10 trillion yuan, up 58.9 percent, lifting overall trade by 11.3 percentage points. Integrated-circuit exports rose 99.1 percent, while green products - electric vehicles, lithium batteries and wind-turbine parts and components - grew 72.3 percent, 36.4 percent and 22.4 percent respectively.
Electronic components alone rose 70 percent and wire and cable 25.3 percent over the nine months. Analysts say surging global AI demand meets China's rising supply capability: scaled manufacturing and continuous innovation lower the cost for other countries to adopt AI technology, satisfying external demand while in turn boosting China's own product exports.
