As humanoid robot makers race toward mass production, one Shenzhen chip company has become an unexpected winner. D-Robotics (Digua Robotics) reports "exponential growth" in orders for its flagship Sunrise S600 processor — a palm-sized module packing 560 TOPS of compute that integrates large-model inference, multimodal perception and real-time motion control, the computing "brain" behind complex tasks performed continuously by embodied robots.
The company has struck deep partnerships with more than 20 domestic embodied-AI firms, including Shenzhen's UBTech, EngineAI and Leju Robotics, and its chips have been sold to more than 60 countries, with a supply deal with Swedish garden-machinery giant Husqvarna extending the technology beyond humanoids into consumer outdoor robots.
Founder-team executives say the cluster effect is decisive: within five kilometers of its Shenzhen offices sit more than 60 customers, and the time from idea to product prototype can be measured in days. Company leadership argues that only by running large models on domestically designed chips can China's robot industry keep its core technology — and the ceiling of embodied intelligence — in its own hands.
