With just over 100 days left before Christmas, Yiwu's Christmas-goods orders for the year are gradually wrapping up from September, China News Service reported from Yiwu on September 4, 2026, because both production and shipping need lead time.
Yiwu is home to more than 500 Christmas-goods business entities that together export about 20,000 varieties of festive products to over 100 countries and regions each year. One merchant said the factory is producing its last big order of the year, bound for the United States, to ship by mid-October at the latest, and that this year's intake is better than last year as the shop enters its off-season.
Orders already in hand mainly come from Southeast Asia, reachable in about 15 days by sea, while clients from Latin America placed orders as early as March and April to avoid peak freight. Merchants said buyers accepted earlier stocking this year, making the overall delivery rhythm steadier.
