UK's largest energy supplier Octopus Energy, battery maker XinnengAn and Contemporary Amperex Technology (CATL) have signed a strategic cooperation memorandum focused on smart residential energy storage for the European market, CATL announced on November 4.
The three parties will divide work across software, hardware and distribution channels to accelerate deployment of home storage in Europe, and will use home batteries as nodes to enable broader scenario coordination. The move opens incremental overseas storage demand for related battery supply-chain players.
