The ninth China International Import Expo will run November 5 to 10 in Shanghai under the theme "New Era, Shared Future," and Yiwu has again stepped onto the global import-trade stage, China Business News reported on November 3. Ahead of the event, Yiwu organized 4,435 buyers to register for this edition, writing a vivid footnote to its "buy global, sell global" strategy.
Yiwu presents a "World Market, Digital Yiwu" exhibit in the China Pavilion with large screens, a dynamic sandbox and a gift wall, while two intangible-cultural-heritage items, Danxi medicine and Danxi wine, appear in the Zhejiang culture pavilion. On the exhibitor side, eight Yiwu enterprises leverage overseas resources to participate; the Yiwu Mall Group built a 330-square-meter customized booth in Hall 5.1 via its Dubai branch, bringing more than ten market merchants to display import goods directly on the CIIE floor.
From the city image in the national pavilion to heritage displays in the culture pavilion and global products on the enterprise stands, Yiwu formed a full-range, multi-level presence. Local firms use the expo both to source good products and to read trends, importing items such as Turkish fabric softener, Caribbean rum and Japanese hair care to Chinese consumers.
