In the first three quarters of 2026, Yiwu recorded regional GDP of 208.88 billion yuan, up 7.9% year on year — the fastest growth among Zhejiang's 17 strongest county-level economies and among Jinhua's districts, Yiwu Release reported on November 3.
High-tech manufacturing added value jumped 57.4%, manufacturing investment rose 30.2% and high-tech industry investment climbed 59.4%. From January to September, Yiwu's exports to Africa reached 135.903 billion yuan, up 30.18%, while the International Trade City opened overseas branch markets in Angola and Tanzania to extend its small-commodity network across Africa.
The Global Digital Trade Center now hosts more than 5,200 booths across emerging categories, with second-generation and new-generation merchants making up 52% and merchants holding independent brands or operating IP products accounting for 68% — a sign of a younger, more diversified business base redesigning the value of "small commodities."
