In a separate item, CATL announced on November 2 that it signed both a strategic cooperation agreement and a product cooperation agreement with Blue Vector, and will custom-develop an aviation power battery for Blue Vector's SKYLA V30 flying vehicle. Blue Vector has chosen CATL as its exclusive battery partner as the two sides advance electric-aviation technology and its applications.
Commentators said the move extends CATL's battery expertise from road transport into the low-altitude-economy and electric-aviation segment, opening a new front for power-battery application beyond automobiles.
