China's home-grown EV makers reported increasingly split October delivery figures on November 1. Leapmotor sustained a 100,000-unit-level monthly sales scale for the fourth consecutive month, while XPeng delivered more than 50,000 vehicles for the first time, setting a record high.
NIO and Li Auto, by contrast, landed around the 30,000-unit mark with year-on-year declines. The divergence underscores how the premium and mass intelligent-EV segments are no longer moving in lockstep as competition intensifies and product cycles diverge.
Cailian Press characterized the broader October market as an extension of the "peak season without peak demand" trend seen across the industry, with the new-force camp sorting into clear tiers of winners and losers.
