At the 32nd China Yiwu International Small Commodities Fair, a delegation from Liaocheng, Shandong — organized by the city's commerce bureau with over 70 local quality enterprises — made a splash, Dazhong Daily reported on October 27. The group simultaneously held a "Liaocheng Quality Products" Yiwu matchmaking event, drawing strong interest from overseas buyers.
"Liaocheng products are of solid quality and rich variety; I look forward to deepening long-term cooperation and bringing more Liaocheng products into our market," said a Kazakh buyer at the matchmaking venue, voicing the kind of affirmation the delegation sought.
Liaocheng, an inland city at the confluence of the Yellow River and Grand Canal, has been named among China's "Top 100 Foreign-Trade Cities" twelve times and trades with 211 countries and regions. With the Xiong'an-Shangqiu and Ji'nan-Zhengzhou high-speed railways crossing at Liaocheng West Station, the city has entered a "dual high-speed-rail" era, lifting its logistics and opening capacity.
The千里 journey from an inland "two-river pearl" to the world's supermarket illustrates how more Chinese inland regions are using Yiwu's platform to reach global buyers and integrate into the dual-circulation economy.
