According to Yiwu Customs, the city's total import and export value reached 636.4 billion yuan in the first eight months of 2026, up 14.8% year on year. Exports stood at 548.85 billion yuan (up 12.8%), while imports hit 87.55 billion yuan, surging 29.4%.
Trade with Africa rose 36.7% to 113.21 billion yuan and with ASEAN jumped 55.7% to 96.82 billion yuan. Electromechanical products led exports, with e-bike exports up 42.5%, highlighting Yiwu's growing role as a two-way global trade hub.
The data shows Yiwu both shipping more Chinese small commodities abroad and expanding global sourcing at home.
