Customs data show that in the first eight months of 2026, Ningbo port exported 301,000 NEVs worth 34.22 billion yuan, up 99.1% and 95.5% year on year respectively. NEVs now account for 80.3% of the port's total vehicle exports.
Brazil, the EU and the UAE were the top three markets, while exports to the UK surged 13.8-fold to 3.76 billion yuan. Ningbo Customs has introduced measures such as appointment inspections and direct loading upon arrival to speed up vessel scheduling and clearance for exporters.
The result underlines the role of efficient port logistics in supporting China's accelerating NEV export momentum.
