On September 19, Amazon Web Services' model platform Amazon Bedrock officially integrated Moonshot AI's open-source Kimi K3, letting global enterprise developers call the model directly via API for long-text processing and complex document parsing. The two sides adopt a revenue-share model, with AWS providing global cloud infrastructure and enterprise channels while Moonshot receives a share of model-call revenue.
Kimi K3 is the first open-source model with 2.8 trillion parameters, natively supporting vision and a 1-million-token context window, suited to large-codebase programming, multi-document analysis and agent workflows. The deal is described as the first time a Chinese model company has exported model capability to one of the world's top three cloud providers via revenue sharing, with a share ratio reported as high as 30%.
The collaboration marks a step forward for Chinese models going global—from API services toward commercial deployment on overseas cloud platforms, leveraging foreign cloud vendors' infrastructure and customer channels to accelerate entry into global enterprise markets.
