A People's Daily-affiliated report on September 21 highlighted how Zhejiang is using quality infrastructure to help enterprises conquer overseas markets. At the Global Digital Trade Center, Yiwu's small-commodity industry "AI + Quality" service platform—launched in September 2026—lets merchants upload a product photo and, within seconds, receive compliance prompts covering applicable standards, testing and certification requirements, and labeling cautions.
The platform has served more than 1,900 enterprise visits and waived over 8.2 million yuan in testing fees. Yiwu, whose total number of business entities has surpassed 1.31 million—ranking first among China's county-level regions—also operates the country's only county-level overseas intellectual-property dispute response guidance platform, monitoring 327 core trademarks across 197 jurisdictions and helping recover or save over 100 million yuan in losses.
By embedding standards, branding and IP services into the full "going-global" chain, Yiwu is upgrading from low-value manufacturing toward a quality- and standards-driven export model.
