On September 20, NIO announced that its all-new ES8 has reached the 150,000-delivery milestone one year after launch, setting a sales record for Chinese premium pure-electric models above 400,000 yuan, with cumulative sales ranking first in both the large SUV and 400,000-yuan segments.
The same day, NIO appeared at the 2026 World Manufacturing Congress in Hefei, displaying its tech-flagship SUV ES9, the "NIO World Model NWM" and its self-developed Shenji NX9031 chip in the intelligent-connected NEV zone. Founder and CEO William Li said China's smart-EV industry is moving from a "brand-chaos phase" into a "brand-clarification phase," where brand value reflects users' comprehensive trust in systemic capability.
In the first eight months of 2026, NIO delivered 262,893 vehicles, up 57.9% year on year, with cumulative deliveries surpassing 1.26 million. Li reaffirmed the company's commitment to root itself in Anhui and advance AI-deep manufacturing integration.
