On September 17, the 2026 Yiwu Fair Overseas Exhibition Korea Station opened at Seoul's SETEC inside the Seoul E-commerce Expo, drawing a strong first-day crowd and multiple intent orders. The 8,287 sq m show featured about 300 booths, with the mall exhibition company organizing 15 Yiwu enterprises across jewelry, crafts, daily goods, hardware, kitchenware, outdoor products, small appliances and packaging.
The "going out, there are only opportunities" sentiment from first-time exhibitor Huadu Packaging captured the mood, as Korean buyers showed strong interest in customized services. So far this year the exhibition company has scaled overseas shows: Bologna (Italy) with 20M+ yuan of intent, Jakarta with 129 Yiwu firms and 55M+ yuan, and Mexico City with 50M+ yuan across the US-Canada-Mexico market.
After Korea, the Brazil station (São Paulo, Nov 4–6, co-located with hardware/electric and home-gift shows) and a Vietnam (Ho Chi Minh City) station follow. Data show that in January–August, 932 Yiwu enterprises and 1,994 people joined 136 overseas exhibitions across 19 group delegations—a structured, government-backed push to lock in overseas orders face to face.
The model reflects Yiwu's shift from passive waiting for buyers to proactive, organized global market development.
