BEIJING, May 29, 2026 - Cambricon (688256.SH) officially released its annual report, achieving its first full-year profitability since listing. In 2025, the company achieved net profit attributable to parent of 2.029 billion yuan, marking a historic turnaround. This ended 8 consecutive years of losses since its founding in 2016, with cumulative losses of 5.417 billion yuan.
Following this momentum, in Q1 2026, Cambricon achieved operating revenue of 2.885 billion yuan, net profit of 1.013 billion yuan, and operating cash flow turned positive for the first time. This performance reflects robust demand for AI computing power in the Chinese market and validates Cambricon's position as a domestic AI chip leader.
Cambricon was founded by a group of young professors from the Institute of Computing Technology, Chinese Academy of Sciences, focusing on AI chip R&D. The company went public on the STAR Market in 2020, becoming China's first AI chip stock.
Industry analysts pointed out that Cambricon's turnaround signals the commercialization of domestic AI chips entering a harvest period, with the China AI computing power supply chain gradually maturing.
