On September 1, 2026, Nubia's NaviX Ultra officially received MIIT network access certification, completing the full compliance process from large model filing to terminal network access. This marks the world's first AI agent smartphone moving from concept verification to scaled commercial use. The device will be equipped with the Doubao phone assistant and positioned as a mass-production flagship, scheduled for market launch and sale in September 2026. Unlike current so-called AI phones that merely pre-install large model applications or run on-device small models for benchmark scores, the NaviX Ultra aims to achieve Agent OS-level autonomous perception, decision-making, and execution — representing a paradigm shift in human-machine interaction from phone as "tool" to phone as "assistant."
