After 7 years, the Regulations on the Administration of the Housing Provident Fund were revised again and will be formally implemented on September 20. Why this revision? What are the important changes? What other policy advances are worthy of attention to better adapt to market developments and meet diversified housing needs?
Why should the CPF system be changed?
Wu Jing, Director of the Real Estate Research Center of Tsinghua University:
The main purpose of the CPF system is to support the housing consumption of the depositor. Therefore, its vitality and vitality also depend on its support mode, and whether it can adapt to the changes in the housing consumption mode of the depositor.
Previously, most depositors needed to buy a home. At present, a considerable part of the 180 million or so depositors have completed the purchase of houses. Then they may think that they have already bought the house, and even for a while they do not intend to change the house again. Why do they continue to pay the provident fund? Am I simply contributing? Then, if the number of depositors with such an idea increases, it will actually affect the housing provident fund system.
But actually housing is a necessity. After buying the house, you will have to continue to pay the property fee; after a period of time, you may want to renovate; even after a certain stage, the house needs to be renovated. Then this housing provident fund will also include the use of these houses and repair houses in the scope of support. In fact, it makes the support mode of the housing provident fund well adapted to the housing consumption of the whole life cycle.
