At the 2026 Smart Economy Forum on September 16, Baidu Smart Cloud proposed the industry-first "Industrial Agent Operating System," organizing general, professional and customized agents into a coordinated, closed-loop system accountable for results, letting agents truly run inside enterprise business.
Baidu executive VP Shen Dou said enterprises' tasks split into three types—20% daily operations, 30% professional domains and 50% core business that decides outcomes—all to be internalized by corresponding agents rather than becoming new "silos." The OS takes tasks from the top, connects enterprise knowledge, data and processes in the middle, and schedules cloud compute and security at the bottom, with experience回流 into an iterable capability.
Baidu's professional agent matrix includes self-evolving agent Famou, ontology-build agent Shengsuan, app-dev agent Miaoda, code agent Wenxin Kuaima, vision agent Yijian, marketing agent Hogee and digital-human agent Yijing. Taikang deployed Baidu's platform and has launched over 3,500 agents with 20 billion tokens consumed daily.
Baidu also released the Baidu Dazi developer platform, opening the same technology to enterprises, and made Baidu Dazi a fully open ecosystem with connectors, skills, kits and hardware access and a pledge of never charging ecosystem partners. On infrastructure, over 150 top models are callable and long-chain agent inference improved more than 3x in six months.
