On August 22, the reporter learned from the National Pipeline Network Group that the cumulative transmission of natural gas at the first station of the third line of the second West-East Gas Transmission Line, the first station of the Horgos Compression Line, exceeded 600 billion cubic meters, providing a guarantee for the stable supply of the domestic natural gas market and the low-carbon transformation of the energy structure.

The first Horgos gas compression station is located at an important hub node of the "Belt and Road". It is responsible for transporting Central Asian transnational natural gas and Yili coal-to-gas to the central and eastern regions of China. The annual gas transmission capacity reaches 60 billion cubic meters, and the single-station installed capacity ranks first in Asia. Since it was put into operation in 2009, it has operated safely and smoothly for more than 6,000 days, with a maximum daily gas delivery of 163 million cubic meters.

National Pipeline Network Group Western Pipeline Company Khorgos Work Area Staff Dong Hao:

600 billion cubic meters of natural gas, equivalent to replacing more than 798 million tons of standard coal and reducing carbon dioxide emissions by more than 877 million tons. These clean energy sources ensure the daily gas needs of more than 500 million people through the West-East gas pipeline system.

The first station of Horgos Compressor has built a full-chain intelligent operation and maintenance system, integrating a variety of intelligent equipment such as a gimbal laser methane detector, machine vision AI analysis, and a compressor intelligent diagnosis system, with all-round situation awareness and integrated centralized management and control capabilities, realizing the upgrade of station yard operation and maintenance from "manual inspection" to "intelligent control". At the same time, relying on the waste heat of the combustion-driven compressor unit, the station built the country's first natural gas transmission station waste heat power generation project, achieving zero direct emissions from the station unit, with an average annual power generation capacity of more than 65 million degrees.
