At Geely Auto's earnings briefing on the afternoon of the 17th, CEO Gan Jiayue announced that the China Star series will comprehensively push forward HEV (hybrid) adoption. He stated that Geely will no longer develop traditional fuel vehicles going forward, instead converting all combustion-engine products to the i-HEV intelligent hybrid. He emphasized that, empowered by new energy and Geely's AI technology, the i-HEV platform's metrics already far exceed those of Japanese automakers and even surpass the global benchmark hybrid automaker. With i-HEV support, the China Star series aims to sprint toward a million-unit sales target and expand into overseas markets.
Looking ahead to the second half of the year, Geely will launch multiple new models, including the Zeekr 009 Glory, Zeekr 9X Glory, Lynk & Co 20, Lynk & Co 07GT, Galaxy Battleship 700, Galaxy TT, and a Geely China Star flagship SUV. In addition, the Geely Xingrui L PLUS made its global debut in July this year.
Geely Auto's results for the first half of fiscal 2026 show total operating revenue of 173.6 billion yuan, up 15 percent year-on-year and a record high; gross profit of 31.154 billion yuan, up 25.7 percent; gross margin reaching 17.94 percent, up 1.6 percentage points; and net profit attributable to the parent of 9.091 billion yuan, down 2 percent.
It is understood that Geely's i-HEV intelligent hybrid technology adopts a new combination of 'high-power electric drive + high-rate battery + high-efficiency engine.' Among these, the Xingyue L i-HEV and Xingrui i-HEV went on sale in April. The Xingyue L i-HEV is priced from 145,700 to 159,700 yuan; the Xingrui i-HEV from 104,700 to 116,700 yuan.
